Chapter 5: Other Notes

• GitBook editor uses node-webkit, which is a very, very cool program. (Use the Develop > Open Tools command to prove it)
• GitBook has flaws. Clearly its not the best solution, however its a great starting point. Interactive documents are the way of the future.
  • GitBook is a Tree + Viewport (lets call it a treeport)
  • Other examples of treeports:
    • File/folder explorer
    • Wiki
    • CMS
    • Evernote
    • Gmail
    • Our BrandSite concept
  • I feel like a better solution is sorely needed, and wouldn't be that hard to create.
